Waiting
I sit waiting in the cold
Attack at any time
Attack at any place
The radio crackles two words
"It's time"
Everything is left
The endless drive forwards begins
The further we go the more we stumble
The first man drops and left behind
Then we see them in their thousands
A battle cry echoes the canyon
It tears through the soul
Like they will through us
Men around me have fear in their eyes
They know that this will not last long
Just as I do
Outnumbered a hundred to one
We finally reach the huge army
Greeted by a wave of bullets
I shoot knowing that they will hit nothing
Friend and foe drop on all sides
My time was soon to come
Pain shoots through my body
I hear the laughter of my killer
And the light begins to fade away
