Thanks for the comments and I'll watch more about switching tenses. Some of the switching was probably a mistake on my part.
If you are talking about the switching from present tense ("saying...") and past tense ("said") that is intentional. Saying before a quote, said after.
Now I really need to set some time aside to read other people's fan fics. :(

Well, I enjoyed this very much.
Nicely paced with plenty of creativity. Painted a good strong solid image.
Excellent stuff!
I only had one tiny niggle with it, and that was because it swapped tenses in places. Past to present and then back again. Don't know whether it was intentional or not, but it certainly didn't spoil anything.

Yes very cool stuff, however, I'm not going to mod my xbox, it means too much to me to mess around with it (voiding warranties, etc.).

*shudders* That was awesome. I have a question: How would Sarge know about a Covenant story. I s he secretly Covenant or something? Even though it said The End, still.

yah it was great, but HOLY SHIT have you guys heard about the way to hack Halo? HOLY SHIT!!!! frogblast spent hours upon hours trying to get to the bottom of the second level, and all this one dude has to do is say yes to FALLING MAN: YES/NO NEVER DIE YES/NO. Or he can go as a hunter, and sail down the cliff in s7yle. I praise whoever made the hack, they are truly awsome. now, back to the fan fic.

I think the question is, how would the Sarge know about a Covenant story before it even happened?
The POA hadn't even reached Halo yet, but the Sarge in this story is talking about the disabled T&R (in the game the T&R was disabled by Cortana during the events of Halo).
You have to ask why the Sarge says things like "get up so I can kill you again" before we meet the Flood on Halo (the Flood do get back up, don't they), and check out what the Sarge says about the ring at the beginning of the game on Legendary.
I give Sarge no more insight into the future than Bungie has already done in Halo... ;)

Thanks. I had a bit of a problem, the story ended up getting longer and longer, I could have made it a multiple post but I really did not want to do that so I cut out some. I feel like one of those directors that had a 6 hour movie edited down to 90 minutes.
Oh well, I'm glad it was still enjoyable, and Nog was presumably vaporized in the explosion of the T&R. No survivors! ...lol.
